Time Commitment: All positions have the option for one term or a full year, ie:

  1. Full Year

  2. Fall: Second Week of April through end of Fall semester (mid-Dec)

  3. Spring: Mid-Dec through Mid April

Timeline:

Position Description:  The Head of Development is a member of the Board of Directors. The Head of Development was previously titled Head of Fundraising - the title changed in December 2023. The Head of Development will maintain the responsibilities of directing the fundraising strategy for REUSE; in addition, the person in this position will guide REUSE’s development strategy –primarily regarding how to invest our funds to effectively expand our impact as an organization. In their fundraising capacities, the Head of Development will direct general outreach, formulate funding partnerships, and seek opportunities from direct donors, grants, or pitch competitions to acquire additional funding. In their development capacities, the Head of Development will work with the CEO to construct development research projects to distribute to associates and will work with the CFO to make investment plans. The person in this position reports to the CFO and the CEO and leads a development team which is composed of one manager and 5-10 associates.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate a team

  • Able to dedicate 4-8 hours per week to this position (average of 20 hrs per month)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Dedicated interest to REUSE’s long-term growth, values, and mission

  • Preferred experience with fundraising, development research, or finance
